The UGM Community Service Program (KKN-PPM UGM) student team conducted a regional cultural preservation program in Klis Village, Southwest Maluku Regency, Maluku Province.

This program culminated in the Riuk Raya Moa Arts and Cultural Festival, held on Saturday (Jan. 25) at Gerdarsi Beach. The festival was the highlight of a series of cultural appreciation events aimed at promoting local arts.

Azzan Nasrullah, KKN-PPM UGM coordinator, explained that the festival aimed to preserve the culture and customs of Moa Island, particularly in Klis and Nyama. In addition to protecting the culture, the festival aimed to introduce Moa Island to a broader audience and attract tourists.

“This festival is not just for the KKN-PPM UGM students but for the people of Klis and Nyama. We are proud and happy to be part of this grand event,” Nasrullah stated in a press release on Thursday (Feb. 6).

He emphasized Moa Island’s vast potential, especially in Klis and Nyama, from food to local customs.

The event included various activities such as traditional dance performances by elders and students, MSME exhibitions, poetry readings, storytelling, song performances, and a drawing contest.

“All these programs have been a valuable experience for UGM participants and the people of Moa Island. The unique and distinctive customs and traditions must be preserved indefinitely,” he added.

Fadli Kasim, the field supervisor for KKN-PPM MA008, also expressed pride in the festival’s success. He appreciated the involvement of all community elements, from the people of Moa Island to the local government, in making the Riuk Raya Moa Festival successful.

“The KKN-PPM students have become emotionally connected with the community, showing deep care for local wisdom. Alhamdulillah,” he said.

Agustinus L. Kilikily, Deputy Regent of Southwest Maluku, commended the students for helping preserve the region’s arts and culture while enhancing local human resources.

He noted that the Riuk Raya Moa Festival, part of the team program, is a medium for exploring and promoting cultural values rich in local wisdom.

“Indonesia is a country of diverse cultures, inherited from our ancestors, but our younger generation often neglects this heritage. It’s essential to raise awareness of the importance of cultural preservation,” Kilikily said.

He hoped that the festival would inspire the government and the community to work together to preserve the culture of Southwest Maluku.

He also suggested that the festival become an official and continuous agenda.

“The Education and Culture Department should act as a facilitator in preserving culture and traditions to prevent them from disappearing,” he added.

Since Feb. 1, 2025, the government has officially prohibited the sale of subsidized 3-kilogram Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) canisters at retailers. The 3-kg gas may only be sold at Pertamina’s official distribution points.

Retailers wishing to continue selling the subsidized LPG must change their status to a distribution point or Pertamina’s official distributor, with a one-month deadline.

UGM economist Dr. Fahmy Radhi criticized Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia’s policy, calling it a blunder.

On the contrary, the policy could harm small traders by making it more difficult for consumers to obtain the LPG, which goes against President Prabowo’s commitment to support small people.

“Retailers have been small traders and small shops earning a living by selling the 3-kg LPG. The ban on retailers selling it will put them out of business,” he said at the UGM campus on Feb. 3, 2025.

As a result of the ban, grassroots entrepreneurs lose their income. They revert to unemployment and fall back into poverty.

These small businesses can’t change their status to a distribution point or official Pertamina distributor, as purchasing 3-kg LPG canisters in bulk requires a substantial investment.

“This policy is also troublesome for consumers, most of whom are poor, as they will have to travel far to buy the subsidized LPG at distribution points,” he explained.

Dr. Radhi reiterated that the ban goes against President Prabowo’s commitment to supporting low-income people, both grassroots entrepreneurs and consumers, the majority of whom are impoverished.

This policy harms grassroots traders and must be revoked as it burdens the poor.

“The policy to ban retailers from selling 3-kg LPG must be canceled. Prabowo must reprimand Bahlil for this blunder so that similar policies do not happen again,” he urged.

In collaboration with alumni from Universitas Gadjah Mada, who are part of the social enterprise Agroritma, several students inaugurated an integrated greenhouse innovation known as AGISS (Agroritma Greenhouse and Integrated Seedling System).

In addition, this student and alumni community also conducted technical training on seedlings in the coastal sandy farmland area of Karanganyar Hamlet, Sanden District, Bantul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta.

Chairina Indita, the AGISS project manager, also stated that the inauguration of the seedling house is an initial step to promote the independence of agricultural seedlings in coastal sandy lands.

“This seedling house can bring positive and sustainable changes for farmers in coastal sandy land areas, supporting seedling independence, enhancing productivity, and improving the welfare of farmers in the Sanden area,” Indita said in a statement sent to reporters on Wednesday (Jan. 29).

Indita explained that the Pertamina Foundation supported the inauguration of AGISS through the 2024 PFmuda Program as part of its efforts to support the development of integrated agriculture.

The seedling house’s construction took about one month. Its aim was to create a facility for intensifying seedlings for superior commodities.

“We hope this one-month process will create a more efficient seedling process,” she said.

Moreover, Agroritma is committed to continuing to collaborate with various parties to deliver other innovative solutions in the future.

Representatives from Agroritma, the Pasir Makmur Farmers Group, and the Subur Makmur Women’s Farmer Group symbolically inaugurated this agricultural commodity seedling house by signing an AGISS integrity pact.

Dwi, the coordinator of the Agricultural Extension Center in Sanden District, said that seedling houses have always been challenged by the heat from ultraviolet rays.

“This challenge has been addressed through AGISS, which has been equipped with a mist irrigation system to counteract the hot air that damages the seedlings. Hopefully, this will be beneficial and improve agricultural productivity in sandy land areas,” he said.

UGM’s Community Service Program (KKN-PPM) students successfully assisted the residents of Kendal and Sooka Villages, Punung District, Pacitan Regency, East Java Province.

They helped address challenges in providing livestock feed and introduced clean water processing technology to the communities.

In their service, UGM students also created a village profile website, updated village data, and provided training for MSME actors.

During the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of KKN-PPM activities in Kendal Village on Tuesday (Jan. 22), Dr. Arie Sujito, UGM Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Community Service, and Alumni, welcomed and appreciated the efforts and works of UGM students.

He expressed his happiness that the students’ work had already produced results that the community could feel after only three weeks.

For him, KKN-PPM is the best way for students to practice interacting with rural communities. By engaging with the community, he said, students communicate with residents while delving into their various issues.

“These students are learning to engage, learning to interact. This is UGM’s way of educating them to interact, so they learn from the community,” he said.

During the M&E, the UGM delegation listened to a presentation on KKN-PPM activities by Raden Razaq Farel Aryabima, Head of KKN PPM Unit 2024-JI060, and Ari Cahyono, the field supervising lecturer.

In addition to discussions, the M&E participants had the opportunity to visit an MSME exhibition showcasing packaged food products such as Andini Onion Crackers, Asih Cassava Chips, Pacitan Bakpia, Banana Chips, and Ambar Arum Dried Bananas.

Punung District Head, Pudji Haryono, expressed his appreciation and gratitude, as the villages in his area had been selected for UGM’s KKN PPM activities.

According to him, the KKN-PPM has truly assisted the development efforts in Punung District, particularly in the two villages, Sooka and Kendal.

“UGM students have provided great value to the community, especially in terms of empowerment. However, we hope that what is left behind can be continued. No matter how much has been provided by these students, if there is no continuity, I feel it will eventually fade away,” he said.

Haryono also mentioned that Punung District has hosted KKN-PPM students for three consecutive years. The warm welcome from the community during these three years has been a testament to their contributions.

In addition to carrying out their main program, the students also supported other activities, such as assisting with health services at local health posts (posyandu), especially for the elderly.

“I’ve heard that they help with religious study sessions in the afternoon. These students teach Quranic studies, which is extraordinary, especially since this area still lacks teachers for Quranic instruction, and religious issues are very important because in building humans, we must not only focus on the physical but also the mental aspect,” he explained.

Sooka Village Head, Eko Wahyudi, expressed his gratitude for the presence of UGM students.

He stated that the student’s presence greatly helped the residents of Sooka, especially in preparing livestock feed for the dry season.

He noted that Sooka Village experiences a shortage of livestock feed during the dry season, while during the rainy season, there is an overabundance, which often goes to waste.

“By introducing silage and fermented livestock feed production, the community can now prepare for feed availability. Additionally, they introduced technology to draw water from underground using solar power technology, but unfortunately, the cost is not cheap,” he said.

UGM’s KKN PPM Unit 2024-JI060 in Punung adopted the main theme of village data renewal in Sooka Village and Kendal Village, Punung District, Pacitan Regency.

Several Senate Chairpersons and Secretaries attended this M&E event, including Professor Sulistiowati, Professor Hermin Indah Wahyuni, and Chair of Commission I, Professor Regina TC. Tandelilin.

Also present were Chair and Secretary of Commission II, Professor T. Yoyok Wahyu Subroto, Dr. Raden Roro Upiek Ngesti Wibawaning Astuti, Professor Ganis Lukmandaru, Dr. Ahmad Zubaidi, UGM’s Directorate of Community Service Secretary Dr. Djarot Heru Santoso, Sooka Village Head Eko Wahyudi, Kendal Village Head Bambang Widodo, and several other leaders.

The Reggae Festival has become a tradition for the people of Tidung Island, Seribu Islands, to celebrate the end of 2024.

UGM’s Community Service Program (KKN-PPM UGM) students, together with the local community, organized the Reggae Festival on Tuesday (Dec. 31) during the peak of the New Year’s Eve celebration.

This event also served as an opportunity to strengthen ties between students and the community within the KKN-PPM UGM service program.

Reggae music is a favorite genre among Tidung Island’s residents. The Reggae Festival featured several reggae musicians and artists such as Sejedewe, Dhyo Haw, Rafi Gimbal, D’Blow, and OWL Jam.

This year, the main star of the Reggae Festival was Rasta Ressy, a reggae band that has been performing since 2022. The festival’s uniqueness and authentic atmosphere make it one of the most anticipated events by the community each year.

KKN-PPM students, who were present in the local community, also assisted Tidung Island’s Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis).

Bagas, a team member tasked with the Reggae Festival, expressed his joy at building the festival’s gateway.

“It took three days to create the gateway. We designed it, and then the construction was assisted by other KKN members in collaboration with Pokdarwis,” said Bagas in a statement to reporters on Wednesday (Jan. 8).

In addition to Bagas, Sarwindah, another team member, was entrusted with being the master of ceremonies for the Reggae Festival. This opportunity became an unforgettable experience for Sarwindah.

“It was so much fun. I got to see the local culture here blending with the island’s atmosphere. The community’s enthusiasm was also very high,” she said.

Not only did they experience the local traditions and culture of Tidung Island, but the UGM KKN team also felt the closeness and warmth while mingling with the local community.

After preparations were completed, the Reggae Festival opened on Tuesday (Dec. 31) with various performances. Interestingly, although the festival focused on one music genre, the local community still presented other traditional elements.

One of these was a lenong performance by Lenong Ki Jambul Wulung and Lenong Bohay KB. Dangdut music accompanied performances leading up to the New Year’s Eve fireworks display.

Established in February 2024, Tidung Island’s Pokdarwis reflects the community’s awareness of tourism potential. Pokdarwis actively develops Tidung Island’s tourism, including management, maintenance, and the addition of new tourist spots.

“When it comes to tourism, we definitely want to improve the community’s welfare. We hope that with Pokdarwis, we can attract even more tourists,” said Saiful, the Pokdarwis Chairperson.

The Reggae Festival, with its combination of traditional cultural elements and a unique music genre beloved by Tidung Island residents, is one way to attract tourists. The New Year’s celebration creates economic opportunities, especially for local residents who sell their goods during the festival.

Gatra, a vendor who has been selling in the area for around 11 years, stated that this event greatly helps the local economy.

Not only tourists but also local residents purchased his goods during the festival’s festivities. He hopes that events like this will be held more frequently to attract tourists.

“I also enjoy myself when there’s an event like this, so I can sell while listening to music,” said Gatra.

The Reggae Festival marks a good start for the work of Tidung Island’s Pokdarwis. They hope that with the presence of UGM students, the government will also support community programs to maximize tourism potential and improve the community’s welfare.

Gamplong Tourism Village, located in Moyudan District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region, is widely recognized as a prime destination offering a variety of unique cultural and experiential attractions.

While many are familiar with Studio Alam Gamplong, few realize the huge potential and uniqueness of Gamplong Tourism, particularly through its handicrafts that produce unique products like traditional woven fabrics with distinctive patterns reflecting the beauty of local culture, as well as creatively crafted home accessories and decorations made from natural materials like rattan, bamboo, sand, and natural fibers.

Despite being a fairly popular tourist destination, Gamplong Tourism Village still faces some challenges in its management, one of which is the lack of a clear Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

The absence of an SOP has been an obstacle in managing coordination between the village managers, artisans, and tourists.

As a form of support to help Gamplong become a more professional tourism village, students from the Tourism Program of UGM’s Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB UGM) initiated a discussion forum to draft the SOP involving various parties, including village managers, division heads, and division members.

“This forum discussed several key points, such as standardizing the flow of tourist visits, including guidelines from the reservation process to tourist drop-off, and scheduling activities such as craft-making lessons and enjoying local cuisine,” said Franzeska Aurellia Oenang, a Tourism Program student, in a statement sent to reporters on Monday (Dec. 30).

In discussions with the division heads of Gamplong Tourism Village, Oenang mentioned several major issues, such as the lack of clear work guidelines for each division and the ambiguity of task distribution, especially in welcoming tourists when the number of visitors increases, leading to frequent confusion in implementation.

Additionally, task distribution between divisions also became a focus, with the establishment of clear responsibilities for the homestay, guide, culinary, and marketing divisions and the assurance of effective communication flow to avoid miscommunication.

“Monitoring and evaluation systems were also discussed, including scheduling regular evaluations to assess the effectiveness of the SOP and providing space for tourist feedback to improve service quality,” she explained.

Just as importantly, she added, environmental management and sustainability were also addressed, with the drafting of an SOP to maintain the cleanliness of the tourism village and encourage artisans to use environmentally friendly materials in their products.

“With standardized SOPs, Gamplong Tourism Village is expected to improve the quality of its management, thereby providing a better tourist experience. Furthermore, the SOP is a crucial step in ensuring the sustainability of this tourism village in the future,” she stated.

Oenang reckoned that Gamplong has great potential to continue developing as a tourist destination that entertains and educates.

“Through collaboration between students, managers, and the local community, this village will be even more prepared to compete nationally and internationally,” she explained.

The Open Senate Meeting for the 75th Anniversary and 15th Lustrum of Universitas Gadjah Mada was held on Thursday (Dec. 19) at Grha Sabha Pramana.

During the peak celebration of this Dies Natalis, several academics received the 2024 UGM Award. Among them was Professor Saiful Deni, who received the award for his contributions to community empowerment and poverty alleviation.

Professor Deni, a UGM alumnus currently serving as Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Maluku Utara (UMMU), expressed gratitude and motivation to continue making impactful contributions through his work.

“I thank UGM for this award and the UMMU community as a place to advance knowledge. I am pleased and feel responsible for maintaining this achievement,” said Professor Deni on Tuesday (Dec. 24).

After graduating with a Master’s in Administrative Sciences from UGM in 2004, Professor Deni pursued his career as an academic, conducting various research projects.

His publications often discuss North Maluku’s socio-cultural, geographic, and regional potential.

One of his journal articles, “Makayaklo Culture of the People of North Maluku: Teaching the Values of Building Solidarity and Social Integration,” explores how the culture of North Maluku has played an essential role in preserving moral values and traditions that are still upheld today.

In another piece of research, Professor Deni studied the geographic conditions as part of flood mitigation efforts for the Ternate government.

According to Professor Deni, this project, which has been carried out over the past two years, aims to prevent flooding and explore the potential of Ternate’s groundwater.

“This study has been highly beneficial to the local government in meeting the need for clean water, thus increasing the productivity and well-being of the community,” he explained.

He also researched the implementation of social assistance for poor communities in North Halmahera Regency.

This initiative improved basic education infrastructure and strengthened collaboration with the North Maluku government. Professor Deni emphasized that poverty alleviation requires the integration of various social, economic, cultural, and environmental dimensions.

“Community empowerment and poverty reduction are two interrelated aspects. From a public policy perspective, this approach aims to create independent, competitive communities capable of breaking the cycle of poverty,” he explained.

In his view, effective public policy must integrate these dimensions. Collaboration between the government, private sector, and the community is key to creating meaningful change.

His various works on the social and geographic conditions of North Maluku set him apart because they focused on an area that had not been extensively studied.

Each of his studies aims to improve the quality of life for the community through the selection of just policies. This has earned Professor Deni several accolades, including the 2024 UGM Award.

As an academic, Professor Deni hopes his work can continue to contribute ideas to society through research, teaching, and service. He is also committed to continuously developing his academic tradition and personal competence.

He hopes this award will inspire the younger generation to excel nationally and globally.

A total of 1,026 students from Universitas Gadjah Mada’s Community Service Program (KKN-PPM) have been deployed across Indonesia to carry out community service programs.

These students, organized into 42 units, are stationed in 17 provinces, including Yogyakarta, Bali, West Java, Central Java, East Java, East Nusa Tenggara, East Kalimantan, West Papua, Southeast Sulawesi, and Bengkulu.

The program spans approximately 50 days and aims to empower communities through various initiatives.

The symbolic deployment ceremony took place at the Joglo Hall of the UGM Center for Innovation and Creativity (GIK UGM) on Thursday, Dec. 19. The Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Nezar Patria, and UGM Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Community Service, and Alumni, Dr. Arie Sujito, donned KKN caps and attributes.

Dr. Arie Sujito reported that the KKN-PPM Period 4 program involves 1,026 students in 42 units across 36 regencies, 42 districts, and 84 villages nationwide, including frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped (3T) regions such as Southwest Papua and Southeast Sulawesi.

“The program ensures that even the most remote areas are reached,” he stated.

Dr. Sujito encouraged students to learn from the communities they serve and prioritize their own and their team’s safety. He emphasized the importance of safeguarding against physical harm and protecting team members from sexual harassment.

“Protect your peers and uphold the good name of UGM,” he advised.

Deputy Minister Nezar Patria echoed Dr. Sujito’s sentiments, urging students to maintain self-control and foster teamwork. He described the KKN program as an opportunity to build collaborative, empathetic teams while applying their academic knowledge in real-life community settings.

“You will demonstrate to the community that what you have learned can make a tangible difference,” he said.

Patria shared his own experience of participating in KKN in Purworejo in 1994, encouraging students to carry on UGM’s legacy of dedication and service. He advised them to listen attentively to the community’s problems.

“By doing so, you will learn how to find effective solutions for the community,” he noted.

One student, Catharina, from the French Literature program at the UGM Faculty of Cultural Sciences (FIB UGM), expressed enthusiasm for being assigned to Raja Ampat, Southwest Papua. As part of the Sorai Waisai Raja Ampat Team, Catharina aims to enhance eco-tourism through forest preservation and marine conservation.

“We hope this program will bring meaningful benefits and leave a lasting impression on the local community,” she concluded.

In its 75th year, Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) continues to demonstrate its commitment to advancing the nation through the development of science and technology, instilling noble values and nationalism in its community, and playing a significant role in shaping a superior and competitive future generation.

The Rector of UGM, Professor Ova Emilia, in her Rector’s Report speech delivered at the celebration of the Dies Natalis on Thursday (Dec. 19) at Grha Sabha Pramana, stated that this year’s celebration serves as a moment to reflect on UGM’s commitment to building the nation.

She emphasized the importance of progress in innovation and higher dedication to fostering nationalism, strengthening national identity, and forming a civilized and ethical society.

“UGM remains committed to producing a generation ready to face global challenges and contribute positively to the nation and society,” the rector said.

UGM’s achievements, including being ranked as the number one university in Indonesia for sustainability by the QS Sustainability Ranking 2025, are the result of collective efforts, hard work, and sustained, adaptive, and agile leadership.

These efforts have produced innovations that benefit national development and contribute positively at a global level.

However, as a state university with legal entity status, UGM faces challenges in a highly dynamic global ecosystem, ranging from climate change and environmental issues to cultural shifts, advancements in digital technology, geopolitical tensions, and socioeconomic inequalities impacting human welfare.

“In the global framework, the SDGs are a mainstream policy as a sustainable future becomes a shared vision for achieving more equitable and inclusive global welfare,” she stated.

To address these challenges, UGM continues to improve its education, research, and community service activities.

In education, UGM has developed a dignified and inclusive educational system through innovative technology-based learning models, transdisciplinary education, and cross-sectoral collaborations.

With the “university without walls” paradigm, UGM provides broad access to education for communities and vulnerable groups through geographically and economically affirmative education policies and various scholarship programs.

“The development of UGM Online as an open online learning platform is a concrete step to open access to quality education for the wider community,” she explained.

As a national university, UGM adheres to regulations to seek and admit prospective students with high academic potential but limited economic means through the Kartu Indonesia Pintar Kuliah (KIP-K) program. It also admits students from frontier, outermost, and disadvantaged regions (3T), ensuring at least 20% of all new students come from these groups. In 2024, 21.69% or 2,316 of the 10,678 new students admitted were from underprivileged and 3T backgrounds.

In research, UGM continuously advances innovation and translational research to deliver impactful results for society. In 2024, UGM recorded 880 intellectual property titles, comprising 92 patents, 751 copyrights, 26 industrial designs, and 11 trademarks.

Through flagship research and innovation programs, UGM has developed innovations supporting food security, health resilience, energy resilience, and digital transformation. These include fortified rice, Gama Gora 7, Happy Chicken Eggs, Malika Soybeans, Saekedelai, Gama Cattle, Vibrio Vaccine for fish, biofertilizers, and Gama Umami grass, among others.

In health, UGM has developed innovative products using high-quality natural ingredients, such as Cinnacare, Berwyn Dent, and Propasdent Propolis Toothpaste. It has also produced locally made medical devices, including digital microscopes to detect sugar, colorectal cancer early detection applications, and self-care foot tools for diabetes patients.

In energy resilience, UGM supports government policies to achieve energy security and clean energy transitions. Researchers have successfully conducted studies on lithium battery recycling and smart battery management. UGM also promotes the Net Zero Emission Campus program, incorporating energy efficiency, renewable energy use, and emission reduction initiatives across all campus operations to model sustainability in Indonesia.

UGM has also made advancements in digital technology, developing knowledge management, big data, future skills, shared services, and resources to provide excellent services to stakeholders. It has introduced applications like Desa Apps, Lentera DESA, iTrap, and the Sikendang innovation for agricultural sovereignty, particularly in addressing climate change.

To boost national and international publications, UGM incentivizes lecturers and researchers and increases postgraduate student enrollment. The postgraduate student proportion is targeted at 40% by 2027. As of the 2024 academic year, postgraduate students account for 30.87% of the total 61,061 students.

In community service, UGM deployed 315 units of KKN-PPM programs across 35 provinces, 29 regencies, and 247 subdistricts in 2024, involving 8,513 students from 18 faculties and one school. UGM also implements community-based research downstreaming and education through village development programs and appropriate technology applications.

Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has been recognized for its significant contributions to supporting the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Yogyakarta, particularly in addressing poverty and stunting.

The award was presented by the Vice Governor of Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), KGPAA Paku Alam X, to the Director of UGM’s Directorate of Community Service, Dr. Rustamaji, during the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Regional Action Plan (RAD) event.

Themed “Cross-Sector Collaboration for Achieving SDGs: Development Strategies to Enhance Community Welfare,” the event was held at Loman Park Hotel, Yogyakarta, on Tuesday (Dec. 17).

For Dr. Rustamaji, the award reinforces UGM’s role as a key institution in realizing better regional development outcomes.

“Through solid collaboration between the government, the private sector, and educational institutions like UGM, we hope that efforts to achieve the SDGs in Yogyakarta will continue to succeed, improving community welfare and creating a more sustainable future,” he said in a press statement on Thursday (Dec. 19).

Since 2022, UGM has partnered with the Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda DIY) to implement the Community Service Program (KKN), which focuses on two main issues: poverty alleviation and reducing stunting rates.

These programs are conducted in areas the local government prioritizes to drive tangible change.

The Vice Governor of DIY, KGPAA Paku Alam X, expressed high appreciation for the contributions of non-governmental organizations and the private sector in driving regional development.

“We deeply value the extraordinary contributions made by various parties. You are strategic actors who turn cross-sector collaboration from a mere concept into a reality that delivers concrete impacts,” he stated.

Ni Made Dwipanti Indrayanti, Head of Bappeda DIY, emphasized that the event’s primary goal was to strengthen cross-sector synergy to ensure the achievement of SDGs in DIY.

She highlighted that SDGs are a global agenda with a 2030 deadline and a collective commitment to sustainable, inclusive, and equitable development.

The principle of “No One Left Behind” underpins every development initiative, ensuring that all community groups benefit from progress.
