Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has opened admissions for new students through the International Undergraduate Program (IUP).

The admission process for this pathway, which has a quota of 1,114 students across 29 study programs, will be divided into three phases.

Phase 1 registration will be open from Feb. 14 to 18, 2025, followed by an offline exam held from Feb. 27 to Mar. 2. The results will be announced on Mar. 6, 2025.

The Secretary of the UGM Directorate of Education and Teaching, Dr. Sigit Priyanta, stated that the IUP allows students to achieve competitive excellence through a rigorous selection system.

“We want to ensure that every student who passes is the best individual capable of contributing globally,” he explained on Monday (Jan. 27).

Dr. Priyanta hopes prospective students interested in enrolling at UGM through this international class can access information about the IUP pathway, understand the registration procedures, and prepare thoroughly.

“Further information regarding the 2025 IUP enrollment at UGM can be accessed through the official UGM website or the university’s social media accounts,” he said.

According to Dr. Priyanta, one advantage of the IUP pathway is its ability to prepare competent graduates who can compete globally.

“IUP is designed to provide an internationally based learning experience, including mandatory international exposure such as student exchange or double degree programs,” he added.

Prospective students for the IUP must be recent high school graduates or equivalent with a diploma.

They must also have good English proficiency (TOEFL score of 500-550 or equivalent), pass the Gadjah Mada Scholastic Test (GMST), and be willing to undergo further selection based on the chosen study program.

The selection process is divided into two categories based on the study program. For the Faculty of Engineering (FT UGM), the selection process uses report card scores, UTBK scores, CBT scores, and proof of English proficiency.

Meanwhile, the selection process for programs outside FT UGM uses English and scholastic tests (AcEPT and GMST).

The 29 study programs at UGM offering the IUP pathway include Biology, Accounting, Management, Economics, Pharmacy, Environmental Geography, Veterinary Medicine, Law, International Relations, Communication Studies, Public Policy and Management, Medicine, and Psychology.

The IUP is also available in Civil Infrastructure Management Technology, Statistics, Electronics and Instrumentation, Computer Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Animal Science and Industry, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Geodetic Engineering, Geological Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Engineering, and Urban and Regional Planning.

Interested in earning a bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting in a shorter time? If so, you might consider applying for the Fast-Track Master of Science (M.Sc) in Accounting program at the UGM Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB UGM).

This program is designed to accelerate the completion of both undergraduate (S1) and graduate (S2) degrees within five years.

Besides shortening the study duration for both degrees, the Fast-Track Master of Science in Accounting program also offers scholarships, reducing tuition fees by up to 50 percent.

Scholarship recipients are required to serve as teaching assistants during their studies.

Dr. Fu’ad Rakhman, the Head of the Master of Science in Accounting program, explained that the undergraduate program generally takes four years, and the master’s program lasts between two to three years.

The fast-track program allows students to complete both degrees simultaneously in a shorter period.

He noted that this program was first offered in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, specifically in February 2024.

“The fast-track program aims to facilitate undergraduate students who possess strong academic abilities, motivation to continue their studies, a high commitment to timely completion, and involvement in research and publications,” Dr. Rakhman explained at FEB UGM on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2025.

Dr. Rakhman elaborated that the fast-track program is designed to equip students with strong writing skills through courses such as Scientific Writing and Publication Workshops.

The curriculum is structured to help students graduate successfully and produce writing, whether simple or scientific.

Graduates of this program have career opportunities in the industry and government sectors, in addition to becoming academics and researchers.

Survey results show that about one-third of graduates pursue careers as academics, while the majority enter non-academic fields.

“The skills taught are proven to be relevant and applicable to various sectors, allowing graduates to contribute broadly,” he said.

For scholarship recipients, Dr. Rakhman mentioned that the scholarships not only ease financial burdens but also provide valuable experience supporting faculty academic activities.

The fast-track program also offers a streamlined process for developing an undergraduate thesis based on a literature review, which is then expanded into a master’s thesis.

“The linearity between the thesis and master’s thesis topics, supported by the assignment of the same supervising professor, ensures that students receive consistent guidance throughout their studies. We maintain quality from the input stage and align students with supervisors and thesis topics within the same area. The goal is for them to complete both programs successfully and on time,” Dr. Rakhman added.

Furthermore, Dr. Rakhman explained that the fast-track program is available to undergraduate accounting students in their sixth or seventh semester.

These students are expected to have completed all courses except the thesis and have a GPA of at least 3.50 at the time of application.

Other requirements include a minimum score of 550 on the Academic Potential Test (TPA) and an English proficiency test score of at least 500, both valid for up to two years.

Prospective fast-track students must also submit additional documents, such as recommendation letters from two professors who have taught them in the courses they’ve passed.

Other administrative documents include a letter of approval from the student’s parents.

Interested applicants are expected to go through several stages before being accepted into the Fast-Track Master of Science in Accounting program.

“The application process begins with filling out a form and submitting documents to the admissions office. The study program will then review the files, and applicants will undergo an interview stage to ensure alignment between the topics of their undergraduate thesis and master’s thesis,” he explained.

Dr. Rakhman added that registration for this program is open in four rounds each academic year.

FEB UGM’s Master of Science and Doctoral (MD) programs also invite outstanding students to join through this fast-track program.

The Board of Professors of Universitas Gadjah Mada (DGB UGM) plans to bestow awards upon individuals and figures who have contributed significantly to science, humanity, and environmental conservation.

UGM invites the public to nominate potential candidates for the Hamengku Buwono IX Award and the Universitas Gadjah Mada Award.

Professor M. Baiquni, Chair of DGB UGM, stated that the HB IX and UGM awards are held annually. However, no candidates were deemed suitable for the HB IX Award last year.

“Therefore, this time, we are reopening nominations and broadening the outreach to identify the best candidates with the hope that both awards will be presented,” he said at Fortakgama Room Wednesday (Oct. 23).

Professor Baiquni explained that one or more individuals or figures who meet the criteria could be selected for each award. He hopes that by spreading the word about these awards, they will uncover individuals or figures who have made significant contributions but have gone unnoticed by the public.

He added that both UGM alumni and non-alumni are eligible for the HB IX and UGM Awards. Hence, anyone with information about individuals who have served society, whether in urban or remote areas, as environmental conservationists or selfless activists, can nominate them by providing a complete biography, works, and videos.

“We hope the UGM Alumni Family (Kagama) and other organizations will also submit nominations. Once we receive the data and several names meet the criteria for the HB IX Award, we will consult with Ngarso Dalem (Sri Sultan HB X),” he explained.

Professor Wahyudi Kumorotomo, Secretary of the DGB UGM, emphasized that UGM is consistently committed to honoring individuals who have made significant contributions to their fields and whose work has had a positive public impact.

“We are still open to awarding honorary doctorates, but as for honorary professorships, we hope that UGM will remain consistent in not granting them. Instead, we will offer recognition through other awards, such as the HB IX or UGM awards. I believe this is a more objective approach based on publicly accepted criteria,” he elaborated.

Professor Ambar Pertiwiningrum, Chair of the Selection Committee, added that the HB IX and UGM Awards selection process follows Rector Regulation No. 15 of 2021, which governs honorary titles and awards.

As Chair of the Selection Committee, she affirmed the committee’s focus on presenting the HB IX and UGM Awards.

“We have already made announcements and disseminated information to Kagama chapters across Indonesia. We hope to gather several candidate names by Nov. 9, as the selection results will be announced during UGM’s Anniversary on Dec. 19,” she said.

She reiterated that the UGM Award does not require the recipient to be a UGM alumnus. However, the nominated individuals must align with UGM values.

Therefore, when an individual or institution nominates a candidate, they should refer to UGM’s core values, such as community welfare, preservation of local wisdom, and a focus on innovation or leadership in societal and national life.

“Of course, the nominee should demonstrate a commitment to promoting values of excellence and well-being,” she explained.

Regarding the nomination process, candidates can self-nominate or be nominated by another person or organization.

Nominated candidates must be alive at the time of nomination. The submission must include an introductory letter, a complete resume with a photo, and a link to the candidate’s work. It should be sent to the Selection Committee for the HB IX Award and UGM Awards 2024.

The deadline for submissions is Nov. 9.

The documents should be sent in soft copy to dgb@ugm.ac.id and in hard copy to the Secretariat of the Selection Committee for the HB IX Award and UGM Awards 2024, DGB UGM Office, UGM Central Office.

The UGM Innovation and Creativity Hub (GIK UGM) will host an international Butoh event titled “The Life of Butoh” at Joglo GIK UGM from Sep. 4 to 6.

This free event will feature performances by four renowned Japanese artists—Jun Amanto, Mutsumi-Neiro, Rina Takahashi, and Minoru Hideshima—and six senior Indonesian performers: Rianto, Fitri Setyaningsih, Broto Wijayanto, Anter Asmorotedjo, Endy Baroque, and Mugiyono Kasido.

“The Life of Butoh” will include live performances, contemporary dance, Butoh film screenings, a Butoh poster exhibition, and a talk show at each session.

Bambang Paningron, Head of Community & Experience at GIK UGM, explained that Butoh emerged as a form of resistance against Western cultural dominance after World War II, especially after Japan’s defeat in the Greater East Asia War.

Created by Kazuo Ohno and Tatsumi Hijikata in the 1950s alongside the development of avant-garde art in Europe, Butoh introduced a new perspective on performing arts by combining elements of theater, dance, and extreme bodily expression.

“This phenomenon is very intriguing as Butoh continues to transform, evolving with the times and adapting to new ideas and bodies,” he said.

Paningron noted that Kazuo Ohno, the pioneer of Butoh, performed at Taman Ismail Marzuki in the 1980s. Butoh also appeared in Yogyakarta in 2009 under the same title, “The Life of Butoh.”

Butoh is often recognized as a reflection of the artist’s sincerity in expression and their everyday life. Known for emphasizing individual expression and unexpected body forms, Butoh rejects conventional boundaries in performing arts.

GIK UGM hopes this event will offer new insights and provoke a re-examination of how this art form has rapidly influenced the world.

“Compare this to Indonesia, with its countless performing arts forms that have yet to make a significant impact, except for gamelan, which is tangible. We will learn and discuss this extensively,” Paningron added.

Aji Wartono, Chief of Program at GIK UGM, emphasized the importance of showcasing Butoh at GIK UGM.

As an entity that integrates knowledge, aesthetics (arts and culture), and technology, the synergy between these three aspects will be more optimal if students, learners, and the general public appreciate it.

He stated that knowledge, arts and culture, and technology are not separate entities but must unite and complement each other.

Science and technology lead to discoveries that ease life, while arts and culture provide a humanistic touch that makes them more relatable to people. GIK UGM believes it must provide this space through the performing arts event “The Life of Butoh.”

“We also need to learn from and observe other cultures, as this will serve as a starting point for expanding our perspectives and developing our arts and culture,” Wartono said.

He further explained that GIK UGM, as a hub, should connect various fields, communities, and entities. Therefore, this event is expected to be not just a performance but also to produce something valuable and new from the collaborations that will occur.

The collaboration between Butoh artists from Indonesia and Japan also serves as a cross-cultural exchange to preserve global cultural heritage.

Wartono ensured that the artists featured were highly capable of performing Butoh.

“This is a rare opportunity to witness Butoh in Yogyakarta after the last similar event was held in this city 15 years ago. So, don’t forget to attend,” he urged.

Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), through the Kagama Lari Untuk Berbagi (KLUB) community, is again organizing the UGM Trail Run in 2024.

This event, held as part of UGM’s 75th anniversary celebration, focuses on sports and promotes the theme “Run, Edu, Care,” emphasizing the importance of education and environmental awareness.

Budhi Rahyono, the event’s chairman, announced that this year’s UGM Trail Run will take place at Karang Pramuka Field in Kaliurang. The event, scheduled for Oct. 5-6, 2024, will feature four running categories: 7K, 15K, 25K, and 50 K.

“We are ready to welcome runners from all over to experience the unique thrill of running while enjoying the natural beauty of Mount Merapi and the warmth of Yogyakarta’s hospitality,” said Budhi Rahyono during the UGM Trail Run 2024 press conference on Wednesday (Aug. 29) at the Alana Hotel Yogyakarta.

The theme “Run, Edu, Care” aligns with the primary objective of the UGM Trail Run, which is to encourage alumni to contribute to good causes. All proceeds from the UGM Trail Run will be allocated for educational scholarships.

The event will also collaborate with Mount Merapi National Park (TNGM) to provide education on the conservation of the park’s ecosystem.

UGM Rector Professor Ova Emilia emphasized that the UGM Trail Run 2024 manifests the university’s commitment to promoting a healthy lifestyle while raising environmental awareness.

She hopes participants will gain a new experience interacting with nature and their surroundings.

“The UGM Trail Run is not just an ordinary race. It is an innovative platform we designed to educate the public about the importance of environmental preservation, especially in the Mount Merapi area, while promoting a healthy lifestyle,” stated Rector Emilia.

Dr. Arie Sudjito, UGM’s Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Community Service, and Alumni, explained that information stations will be set up along the running route to highlight interesting facts about Mount Merapi.

In addition to the educational aspect, the UGM Trail Run 2024 also emphasizes tangible social contributions, with a portion of the registration fees being allocated to scholarship programs for underprivileged students.

“We are collaborating with UGM volcanology experts to design educational content delivered through digital information boards along the route. Participants can scan QR codes at each station to access more detailed information,” he explained.

More than 100 professors from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) have called on national leaders to listen to the people’s voices, expressed through various means such as appeals, statements, demonstrations, and protests, to prevent political manipulation and violence that allegedly serve to entrench power.

UGM professors made this statement in response to the rapidly changing national political situation, which they believe is increasingly leading to a decline in democracy in Indonesia.

Chairman of UGM’s Board of Professors, Professor M. Baiquni, expressed concern about the current deterioration of democracy in Indonesia, marked by the weakening of law enforcement agencies such as the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in combating widespread corruption, the dominance of political elites, the weakening of public oversight in government, and the neglect of reason and conscience in various development practices.

“We urge national leaders to listen to the people’s voices rejecting all forms of corruption, collusion, and nepotism, as these are incompatible with democracy and the spirit of reform,” Professor Baiquni stated when delivering the statement of over 100 UGM professors demanding the return of democracy to the sovereignty of the people, on Sunday (Aug. 25) at UGM.

Professor Wahyudi Kumorotomo, Secretary of UGM’s Board of Professors, added that the current tensions among political elites within the legislative, executive, and judicial branches demonstrate that political leaders prioritize short-term and self-serving interests over the people’s and the nation’s interests.

“National leaders should be thinking about the country’s long-term interests, especially considering that our people are still facing economic hardships and global uncertainties,” he explained.

Professor Kumorotomo also highlighted the Constitutional Court’s Decisions No. 60/PUU-XXII/2024 and No. 70/PUU-XXII/2024, which were met with reactive responses by the Legislative Body (DPR) seeking to amend the law on regional elections (Pilkada).

According to Professor Kumorotomo, this reaction illustrates how legal instruments have been turned into tools for pursuing narrow and short-term political interests while ignoring the people’s desire for dignified democracy in the country.

In this emergency, the UGM professors expressed their stance by rejecting any form of national and regional leadership elections that do not align with democratic principles and the sovereignty of the people.

They also condemned the use of political instruments involving intimidation, the deployment of state apparatus, the distribution of money and material goods, and other dishonorable methods that undermine the civilized democratic process.

“We want to push for and demand dignified and fair regional elections by proper and just legal principles,” Professor Baiquni asserted.

Additionally, the professors urged political elites not to create false legitimacy through legislation contradicting the principles of dignified democracy and the people’s sovereignty.

They emphasized that the General Elections Commission (KPU) must maintain its integrity and principles as the organizer of the regional elections, adhering strictly to constitutional agreements, including the Constitutional Court’s decisions.

Finally, the UGM professors called on all segments of society, as subjects of democracy, to consolidate and actively participate in safeguarding Indonesia’s democracy by voicing their concerns in a manner that upholds civility and avoids actions of violence that would harm the ongoing democratization process.

Among the list of more than 100 UGM professors who supported this statement are Professor Masyhuri (Faculty of Agriculture), Professor Lasiyo (Faculty of Philosophy), Professor Koentjoro (Faculty of Psychology), Professor Endang Semiarti (Faculty of Biology), Professor Ambar Pertiwiningrum (Faculty of Animal Science), Professor Wiendu Nuryanti (Faculty of Engineering), Professor Faruk (Faculty of Cultural Sciences), Professor Yodi Mahendradhata (Faculty of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing), Professor Ainun Naim (Faculty of Economics and Business), Professor Teguh Budi Pitoyo (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine), Professor Eni Harmayani (Faculty of Agricultural Technology), Professor Selo (Faculty of Engineering), and Professor Sofian Effendi (Faculty of Social and Political Sciences).

Over 1,000 academics from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), including lecturers and administrative staff, have expressed deep concern about the current state of democracy in Indonesia.

Dr. Arie Sujito, UGM Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Community Service, and Alumni, described this statement as a response to the serious challenges facing Indonesia’s democracy.

“We are deeply concerned about the regression of democracy and the legal system in our country, marked by legal tensions and political manipulation that threaten the constitutional order,” Dr. Sujito stated during an interview on Saturday, Aug. 24.

The overwhelming support from these 1,000 academics reflects their determination to prevent the democracy that students and activists fought for in 1998 from stagnating and reverting to the New Order era, where oligarchic party power and elite political maneuvers served narrow interests.

“We want to restore the integrity of democracy so the interests of the ruling elite do not destroy it,” said Dr. Sujito, a Sociology lecturer in the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences.

The statement from UGM’s lecturers and staff has garnered support from the Forum of Deans across UGM. The forum is concerned about the political maneuvers by a majority in parliament that disregard the Constitutional Court’s rulings on the requirements for the 2024 Regional Head Elections (Pilkada).

“This undermines the political and legal order and the norms of democratic civility,” Dr. Sujito emphasized.

In response to this crisis, UGM’s lecturers and staff issued five key statements:

  1. Condemnation of Interference: They condemned all forms of interference in the legislative and judicial branches that aimed to manipulate democratic procedures to maintain power.
  2. Rejection of Power Distortion: They rejected practices that legitimize the distortion of democratic principles and the people’s sovereignty.
  3. Demand for Fair Elections: They called for dignified and just regional elections that adhere to legal standards.
  4. Support for the Election Commission (KPU): They urged the KPU to uphold its integrity as the organizer of the regional elections by strictly following legal guidelines, including fully implementing the Constitutional Court’s rulings, specifically Decision No. 60/PUU-XXII/2024 and Decision No. 70/PUU-XXII/2024.
  5. Call to Action for the Public: Finally, they called on all layers of society to consolidate and actively participate in safeguarding Indonesia’s democracy.

In celebration of Indonesia’s 79th Independence and the 75th anniversary of Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), the Directorate of Community Service, in collaboration with the independent research institute Sustainiate, launched a book titled “Menuju Indonesia Emas: Berkeadilan, Bermartabat, Berkelanjutan dan Berketahanan Iklim” (Towards a Golden Indonesia: Just, Dignified, Sustainable, and Climate-Resilient).

The book was officially launched on Monday (Aug. 19) at an event in Multimedia Room 1, UGM Central Office.

Professor Supriyadi, UGM Vice-Rector for Human Resources and Finance, emphasized that the book results from a collaboration between UGM’s Directorate of Community Service and Sustainiate.

He highlighted that the book comprehensively covers various aspects essential to achieving a Golden Indonesia, including humanity, human resources, social issues, economy, technology, and energy.

“UGM is highly committed to supporting the achievement of a Golden Indonesia through sustainable efforts and actively engaging in community empowerment through research tailored to Indonesia’s needs and industries,” Professor Supriyadi stated.

Dr. Arie Sujito, UGM Vice Rector for Student Affairs, Community Service, and Alumni, echoed this sentiment, underscoring the importance of constructive criticism in expressing love for Indonesia. He also praised the book as a tangible contribution.

“The book’s theme reflects Indonesia’s pressing concerns, such as food and energy crises and environmental degradation. However, amidst these challenges, the book offers hope and solutions that can be implemented to address these issues,” he said.

Ganjar Pranowo, Chair of the UGM Alumni Family (Kagama), who participated in the event virtually, shared his thoughts on the book. He noted that it captures the dreams and goals of achieving a Golden Indonesia.

“There are many important notes in this book that can serve as a reference and guide in our journey towards a Golden Indonesia. We can also anticipate its impact,” he explained.

During the discussion session, Yanuar Nugroho, Coordinator of the Expert Team of the National Secretariat for SDGs, offered a critical perspective on the book. He highlighted the challenge of making the content relevant to policymakers.

“If you want to present this to policymakers, turn it into a policy brief or an infographic. Explain the background, the problems, and the solutions,” Nugroho suggested.

Metta Dharmasaputra, CEO of Katadata, also commented on the book’s content, noting that it vividly depicts Indonesia’s challenges in achieving a Golden Indonesia. He encouraged disseminating the book’s content through various media to ensure it was widely understood.

“I hope the launch of this book will spark new, more productive discussions in support of achieving a Golden Indonesia,” he concluded.

The launch of this book marks a significant step in reinforcing UGM’s and various stakeholders’ commitment to supporting sustainable and resilient development in Indonesia. The book is expected to serve as a valuable reference for policymakers, academics, and the general public in realizing the vision of a Golden Indonesia by 2045.

Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has launched a bicycle loan service for students in need, especially those with financial constraints who do not own a personal vehicle for commuting to campus.

This initiative is part of the Directorate of Student Affairs’ efforts to facilitate student mobility on campus. The service aims to provide an efficient and eco-friendly transportation option, contribute to creating an educopolis campus, and promote a cycling culture among students.

Dr. Hempri Suyatna, Secretary of the Directorate of Student Affairs, stated that the bicycle loan program reflects UGM’s commitment to supporting students and addressing mobility issues on campus.

“We hope this program will eliminate transportation challenges for students, allowing them to focus more on their academic activities without transportation concerns,” said Dr. Suyatna.

The bicycle loan service helps students more easily access educational facilities such as libraries, classrooms, and laboratories. Additionally, it aims to reduce reliance on public transportation or motor vehicles, supporting environmental preservation and reducing carbon emissions around the campus.

“This can foster a healthier lifestyle and create a positive trend among students,” Dr. Suyatna added.

The program is expected to have a domino effect, including an increase in the number of students and faculty who cycle, more partner companies supporting the provision of bicycles and racks, and improvements in public infrastructure related to bicycle and pedestrian safety in Yogyakarta.

Student registration for bicycle loans runs from August 5-9, 2024, via the link ugm.id/PinjamSepedaKhusus. The verification and selection process will occur from August 10-14, 2024. Selected students will then sign the loan agreement and receive the bicycle receipt.

The selection results for the national entrance test (SNBT) for 2024/2025 will be announced on Thursday, Jun. 13, 2024, at 15:00 WIB.

Ahead of this announcement, those who have applied for entry to UGM through this pathway need to know the registration steps and the documents that must be prepared once they pass the selection.

UGM Vice-Rector for Education and Teaching, Professor Wening Udasmoro, stated that undergraduate and applied undergraduate program students at Universitas Gadjah Mada who are declared successful through the SNBT pathway must prepare several documents and upload scanned copies for registration purposes.

“New students are required to prepare documents and upload them for registration purposes,” said Professor Udasmoro on Wednesday (Jun. 12).

For students who choose the excellence education single tuition fee (UKT PU), documents, such as the original family card, health protection cards like the BPJS card, Indonesian health card, or health insurance cards, must be prepared.

Next, they must consent to the statement agreeing to pay the UKT PU. Additionally, students who choose UKT PU can take a drug abuse-free test at the UGM Academic Hospital (RSA UGM) or Gadjah Mada Medical Center (GMC UGM) from Aug. 13-27, 2024.

Meanwhile, students who choose to verify for the determination of the single tuition fee must prepare documents such as the original family card, the original ID cards of both parents/guardians, or a death certificate if one or both parents have passed away or a divorce certificate if the parents are divorced, and an income statement of both parents or guardians or those responsible for the expenses, endorsed by the salary treasurer for formal sector workers and retirees.

“For those who are unemployed or work in the informal sector, such as laborers, farmers, fishermen, traders, and entrepreneurs, use a statement from the local village head or chief,” she added.

In addition to the income statement, students must also upload their parents’/guardians’ annual tax returns if they are civil servants/military/police/state-owned enterprises/private employees, a drug abuse-free certificate from a hospital or clinic or laboratory licensed by the government, accompanied by laboratory test results for benzodiazepine, amphetamine, and THC cannabis, including health protection cards like BPJS card, Indonesian health card, or other health insurance cards.

Students applying for the Indonesia smart college card (KIP Kuliah) must include proof of KIP Kuliah registration and a statement of willingness to pay the tuition fee if the KIP Kuliah registration does not meet the requirements.

Additionally, students registered for KIP Kuliah must include photos of the house from the front, side, and back views (if possible) and the garage if available, the latest electricity bill/payment receipt or prepaid electricity purchase receipt, the last three months of bank account statements of both parents/guardians/those responsible for expenses, or an income statement of both parents/guardians/those accountable for costs, endorsed by the village head for those who do not have a bank account.

Professor Udasmoro stated that students not accepted through the SNBT pathway can still take the UGM entrance test through the third wave of the International Undergraduate Program (IUP).
